About Tim

Timothy J Sample retired after an

award-winning 34 year career with the Internal Revenue Service. Virtually all of Tim's career was spent managing collection-related issues as a Revenue Officer, Appeals Officer, Policy Analyst/Subject Matter Expert, Project Manager and Executive Technical Advisor.

Most of this career was spent in the

In addition, Tim served 16 years in Appeals Policy, most of which was spent managing the two highest profile collection programs in the IRS; Offer-in-Compromise (OIC) and Collection Due Process (CDP), giving Tim expert knowledge of these

programs, in particular.

In the Office of Appeals, Tim was twice presented with the prestigious Chief's Award as outstanding policy analyst of the year, and received a third Chief's Award as co-author of outstanding training material (for Ex Parte Communications).

Tim's education and training include:

- A Bachelor's degree from UCLA,

- Master's Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University,

- Certificate in mediation training from the UCLA Extension program,

Tim's free time is devoted to family, Golden Retrievers, music, travel, reading, strength and fitness training, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and all things UCLA.

Based in the greater Los Angeles area, Tim can represent clients with federal tax issues who are located throughout the U.S., its territories, and elsewhere abroad. As an enrolled agent, Tim will provide for you professional credibility, integrity, problem-solving, and zealous, professional advocacy.
